A bizarre outbreak of suicides among the girls of one family is the focus of this intelligent, haunting Sofia Coppola film.

This film was utterly incredible. it was like i was stepping into the film and seeing what the girls life was like. seeing how strict their mother was and how they were restricted on even the simplest things then i realized how much freedom most children got ,and why the five girls commited suicide. i was surprised how simple the storyline was, and how i understood right from the beginning that the girls didnt appreciate their life. I was shocked at the end, and walked away feeling like i didnt understand. but still, this film is a major classic, and i think i will get this film when i am a bit older. this is perfect for sleepovers!
