In my personal opinion the film was amazing it really grasped my attention. At times i did think that it was a bit inappropriate with all the swearing but once you proper watched it you forgot about that. I feel that 'stand by me' brought up a range of topics such as friendship. It showed that if your friend was in danger you would so anything to protect them no matter what the risk, even if it puts your own life on the line. Another important topic is that all the way through out the boys long journey they never gave up. I think that the writers of the film were trying to get a point across which says that no matter how tuff things get you just need to take it all in your stride and persavere. Because you truely can do anything if you put your mind to it. The film really makes you think about what is important in life and i would definately recommend it.
