5 stars

In the dark city of the title, on the stroke of midnight John Murdoch wakes up in an icy bathtub and a womans dead body nearby. But worse he has no memory of who he is, how he got there, where he is! But things get worse when he becomes wanted for the murder, finds a psychiatrist skulking around and the mysterious strangers hot on his tail. This is a harrowing film, set in a city of perpetual darkness. An sci-fi noir that gets it's full five stars.
