This black comedy tells a story of unemployed acrobat who moves to a flat in a tenement house in French town after global cataclysm. He is doing odd jobs on the behalf of the apartment's owner and local butcher. Film is located mainly in or in front of the house which is full of weird personas. Each of them has their own problem and is presented in caricaturial, grotesque way by exaggerating their specific features. But it is not only character's eccentricity that makes this particular place completely different. This small community keeps their secret of surviving in hard times that they happened to live. Times when meat becomes more valuable that one's life...
