The stunning Austrian mountains provide the backdrop for this wartime musical extravaganza.

I have seen this film a million times, but still I am always on the edge of my seat! There are quite a lot of moving scenes in this film like when Captain Von Trap can not sing anymore because he is so upset and his family help him and when they are in hiding and Captain Von Trap risks his life for his children. There were also a lot of funny bits to the film. It was sort of like an oldenday HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL but with more meaningful songs and storyline. I was shocked to find out that it was based on a real family.
