Inventive and magical French version of the Beauty and The Beast fairy tale, with effects that must be seen to be believed.

Slow, spooky and very strange. This is one twisted fairytale. When Beauty is forced to enter the beasts castle she meets the terrifying beast. As she goes through this adventure she meets a talking mirror and a jug. Every night when the beast comes in for dinner he asks Beauty this same question over and over again "will you be my wife". As they talk Beauty's father is dying, can she save her father and take care of the monsterous but gentle beast? I give this film 3/5.
