All right....all right. Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. What shall I start with? It's great mix of genres? The outstanding directing or just the brightness of the film? Well, in my opinion, this is one of the greatest movies ever made. (And I have seen a fair few movies.) In my eyes it's the perfect movie. It will do one of two things to you: You'll watch half and hate it, think it wasn't for you. OR you'll do what most people do....fall in-love with it within the first moment. That's what I did. I've seen this film more than any other. It's fast pace, colorfulness will grab you straight away. The film has comedy, romance, action, drama and musical elements all compacted into an hour and forty minutes. It is every awkward geeks dream (Such as myself) Micheal Cera plays his best character yet. Funny, awkward and somewhat oblivious. He falls for the girl of his dreams, Ramon Flowers, who is almost impossible not to fall for yourself. A lot of people have fallen for her.... in fact, about 7 other people have. Her evil ex-boyfriends. Based off the comic book (Scott Pilgrim) it is the best adaptation I've ever seen. Even though it goes off course from the books, real Pilgrim fans simply won't care. It's so good, I feel like words can't express it's awesomeness. The director Edgar Wright is my favorite and what he did with this movie couldn't of been done by anyone else. The time put into it, crafting and pure heart that was put into this after about 5 years of pre-production. This film will make you exited! It will make you want to jump and scream! And what can I say? Heart-warming. (Okay don't shoot me yet) Just see this film, you'll rather get what I mean...or you won't. This film is great for all boys and girls I'd say in between the ages of 12 and 26, younger one's will enjoy the colors and older people might just feel old. Although that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it, parents! The story, characters, music, special effects, actors, the writing! It is ALL perfect in every way. Funny, witty, the best there is. It's pact with a great soundtrack and well timed video game homages, but I didn't even notice them first time around so don't let that put you off if you don't know your games. I could talk all day about this film and useless trivia I know. There is also a great score piece by Nigel Godrich that's a homage to The Warriors (1979). This film inspired thousands of people... and I'm sure it will inspire more. You like Asian martial arts movies? Like games? Hell, like films? Well, this is your film...almost everyone's film. But you know, that's just my opinion. Thank you Edgar Wright for bringing this magnificent gem to our screens and lives.
