Ingenious, twisty and atmospheric thriller about two Victorian magicians which will have you scratching your head long after the credits...

The Prestige. In itself a trick, and Christopher Nolan its conjurer. The story is centred around two young magicians, each other's antagonists. They always have the upper hand over one another. I don't want to spoil much, (magic is mystery) but I do feel that it's very slow starting. But, about halfway in, it does become very ensnaring, and pulls you into the wonder. Just a warning though: prepare to hear one of the worst Cockney accents in cinematic history. Bale's voice is atrocious in this, but it does not distract from the story - often. Still, better than his Batman portrayal.
