This picture is about a retired actress(Gloria swanson) who trys to regain fame by writing a film in which she stared and recruited the help of a young writer(William Holden). but her lust for fame destroys her mind and her scriped become the story of her life. it has the most iconic opening of any film and keeps the veiwer guessing
