Based on a real conflict from the third century AD, this battle epic is the most expensive film ever to have been made in mainland China.

Red Cliff is based on a war in China which accorded years ago. But I think it’s a good way to show what really happened. It’s based on war, sadness and most of all peace. It has an amazing meaning behind it and I would love to share this movie with my fellow film club members as it’s an unforgettable film. Many are put off films when they see subtitles but personally I think it makes it more interesting as you learn and enjoy the film but at the same time without realising it you actually improve you literacy skills by reading. It comes on TV often so just flick through your TV guide and check when it next comes on and make sure you watch it trust me you won't regret it!
