A classicly adorable French film written in buidungsroman where we are introduced to Amelie Poulain, a French girl deprived from any affection from her father as a child, and homeschooled by her mother. One day, her mother unfortunately dies, and therefore grows up with her father. Amelie is a shy, poignant character who is searching for love but doesn't seem to be able to approach them so easy, and instead cleverly makes a trail and creatively makes messages so that he will finally come to her. A beautiful film.
