I really enjoyed this film. It follows the journey of Nicholas Garrigan a newly qualified doctor who naively uproots and moves to Uganda without researching the curruption of politics of the country. Although it was hard-hitting at times it was interesting to understand the circumstances behind dictatorships and the fact that it was a true-story made it convincing. It has made news stories more relatable and I can now empathise greatly with the corruption stories on the news. The juxtapostion of tension and cheerful events created a powerful effect and the film was put together well. The music created a tense atmosphere and the acting was impressive.
