Election, in my opinion was definitely a different type of film than what I am usually used to watching. It was categorised as a comedy and it did make me laugh on several occasions due to the negative outlook on life in general. The film included scenes which were quite shocking and unexpected and also contained strong language. I did like the film but I probably wouldn't recommend it for people to watch in the company of adults. I think that the age rating is fairly accurate as an eighteen would be far too high but under fourteen would be unsuitable.
