The Hurt Locker 2008 Kathryn Bigelow ***** Before I watched this movie, I did not know much about it apart from it is a war movie. I did not know that it was about bomb disposal, I only knew that it had a great review which had drawn me to watch it. Before I watch any film I always watch the trailer. After watching the trailer I thought that it looked alright. The movie is about James, Sanborn and Eldridge three men in the Iraq war in the Bomb Disposal unit. They have to put up with some stressful situations, emotional and life or death ones. I liked the fact that it was not all war and fighting, it took you into what they did day to day; the emotional struggle and the real life of war. There is nothing that I don’t like about this movie apart from it does not have a follow up. I think the movie was made to inform you about what really goes on in war. Like the friendship, the laughs and the experience. The director did it justice. The movie is really good it’s not like all other war movies; with just war it goes deeper than that. I think that is why it’s so good.
