"Bound by God, only broken by a crime against God." Extremely theatrical, dramatic, and unlimitless. Tantalisingly forbidden, heart wrenching, and staged figuratively (fate) as well as literally. Every moment bordered on a powerful crescendo, an apiphany of dreams. Love requited and unrequited to dwindle, bloom, to be reborn. Beauty detailed to the finest point. Even the thinnest hair, or flake of snow highlighted to great definition. Rondo of passion, so bitter sweet yet sour as a lemon, tasteful as a cake. The twisting and turning scenes that had breathtaking backgrounds. The slow tempo violin, flute, and the slight hand of a xylophone was an amazing accompaniment. Incidental features such as the fascinating outfits, the attention to the movement of every character, the playing of a piano. Nothing can be called ugly. Love in its most pure form. The fluid motion of the film made it a better and better watch. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Keira Knightly were particularly benign together in this film, their splendid chemistry and infatuation. Adultery underlining each point, the suspicious glances, the spinning of destiny. Bliss in a word. Truly an epic story of love. Sensuality, sensitivity to the faintest touch A fantastic film directed by Joe Weight.
