I think this film was quite depressing. I don’t get why main character Christopher McCandless went travelling without telling his parents and his sister. I think it is nice that Chris gave his entire life savings to a charity. The film was quite believable as it is a true story. I liked Chris in the story and felt sorry for him. The old man was quite friendly. I hate that Chris ate a poisoned berry and made himself sick. It was quite depressing. The actors were quite cleverly acting. They showed the emotion well, the worry, the fears, the violence and much more. I think the Chris from it showed too much depression though. The setting was all out in the wild and it looked realistic. It looked peaceful and quiet. I think the scenery was quite beautiful and calming. Chris found romance in it with a 16 year old girl and I was a bit confused how we didn’t see her again when he left the place he met her. She had a great singing voice which was really nice and I liked the duet she sang with Chris. This film could have been made a lot better and it should have been more focused on the storyline because it kept jumping from scene to scene.
