Jim Carrey stars in this fascinating, existential satire about a man who discovers his whole life is a reality TV show.

He's not a true man

I did not expect this! This is an amazing, funny, emotional film which is about the production of a TV show called The Truman Show. This TV show stars a man called Truman (Jim Carrey)(what a coincidence!) who has grew up his entire life IN THIS SHOW!

They have filmed every single moment in his life and the show is on every second of everyday. You might be thinking- being brought up as an actor is hard when you have full days of learning lines. That is where it gets interesting. He doesn't know that his entire life has been filmed. Because it is a TV show there needs to be TV stuff not just a vlog. This is where the funny parts come in. People randomly do adverts in the middle of his life which are bought from the outside world like coffee powder and kitchen knifes. The main problem with the show (not the movie) is that he wants to be an explorer, but theres a catch! He can only be filmed inside his town....

Although this is an excellent film most of the first half is an explanation and goes quite slowly. Jim's acting (or no acting) is at its best. He can be sooo emotional. He goes from being sad to the over-the-top, excited, happy and scared.

Although there are 2 life lessons in the film that don't really make sense. Number one is that if you truly love something you would let it go (Truman out of the town)(AHHH FROZEN IS STILL EVERYWHERE) and number 2 that you don't need to try to be good to be the best (non) actor in the world
