This is your typical but not so typical American film.
Teenage hormones, stereotypes, romance, abbreviated speech, and homosexuality all poured into one movie to make a lot of over-dramatised, amazing-entertaining craziness.
I have never before watched a film that is filled with an equal balance of realism and absurdity. It was fun, it was thrilling, and it was fabulous. Even more funny is that I couldn’t help comparing every character to a real person. We are all reckless, crazy, and free. We occasionally hide who we really are to fit-in with the status quo of what we presume is normal, or boost our morale with the latest trends. It is really awesome when we discard those images and be who we want to be, whether it is being diva, or realist.
Friendship, freedom, drama, and love; these are what made GBF.
Don’t let your hormones lead you, let your heart.
A film not for everyone but a film for anyone! With a really great soundtrack, spontaneous characters and storyline, that was a breath of fresh air among films that take themselves too seriously.
I recommend you watch GBF and turn a boring evening into a melodramatic one.
