Beautiful-looking French tragedy that's a follow up to rural epic Jean de Florette.

I really enjoyed this film as it was the first time I had ever seen a film with subtitles. It was a very sad film and makes you think about outsiders and how they feel but it was really good. Although I didn't see Jean De Florette, I followed the story line but seeing this film has made me want to see Jean De Florette as I enjoyed this film so much. I was pleased to get the oppertunity to watch a French film as I wouldn't normally watch something like it but I think I will be watching it again, along with Jean De Florette.
