This film can be best described a sour Haribo. You have the extremely sour coating which masks the sweetness inside. That is what this film is like. I have to say that when I heard we were going to be watching this, I was kind of annoyed that out of the vast collection of films available to watch, this was picked. I have to say that this film felt like it was about 30 minutes too long. I also have to say that I don't really enjoy films that are foreign so you have to watch it subtitled. Despite these criticisms, I still managed to enjoy. This film can open your eyes to a part of the world often forgotten. It will show you the great cultures spread across South America. It will also show you the beautiful sights available to see. Its like a travel brochure. This film also delves into the plight that happened to southern american countries during the late 40's. You will witness the little sparks of sadness used to ignite the powder keg of revolution. If you can stomach the subtitles, watch it, a very unique experience.
