4 stars

The two lovebirds who couldn't stay away, a writer who meets a young socialite aboard a train, soon falls in love. With a side dish of passion for lust and extravagance for desert, this film made one good meal! The typical American love story, between the sweetheart and the hero, with a teeth-grinding plot twist. Cornel Wilde starring as Richard Harland and Gene Tierney as Ellen Berent Harland, the one that got away! This film was directed by John M Stahl in 1945. I rate this film 4 stars as some scenes are very suspenseful and leave you wondering what is going to happen next.
