Brat Pack 80s actress Molly Ringwald plays a poor girl with offbeat style who falls for a rich kid, while others frown on the social divide.

I have to admit I do love this film. I adore this film a lot more than I should. I really had to give a review for this film. Pretty In Pink got their casting spot on and I am so chuffed about it; it wouldn’t have been so great if it had a different cast, or if they didn’t have the fabulous Molly Ringwald whom played the main character, Andie Walsh. I really, truly do love this film, it has a brilliant balance of romance and humour, but it still manages to give us a couple of life lessons and show us a couple of things, like how even back then people cared about where you’re from, how popular you are and how much money you have. Whilst watching the movie I do wonder if maybe they cared about that type of stuff even more than we do... Hmm. Now this film did do an amazing job of making me fall in love with a certain character, Duckie Dale. He was just perfect, brilliantly played and made me just want to hug him. Jon Cryer did an amazing job with the character and despite how much I adore Robert Downey Jr (who very nearly played Duckie) I couldn’t imagine there being a better actor to play Duckie if I tried. I really hope more people watch this film and I really hope people enjoy this film just as much as I do.
