Another Frances Lawrence masterpiece here in the form of the third installment of the Hunger Games Trilogy. However, the revolution is not over and we still have a Part Two to look forward to. But back to the main point. Director Frances Lawrence has not let me down. He blew us away with Catching Fire, after the initial disappointment of the first Hunger Games (directed by Gary Ross), and he's back again for an award-winning brilliance. Catching Fire was a film which made hundreds of teenage girls come crying from the cinema, and Jennifer Lawrence shows once again why she is worthy of an Oscar as she returns to the role of Katniss Everdeen in this action-packed blockbuster, Mockingjay Part One. The wonderfully written script perfectly compliments the class of the actors within the film, and the music continues to bring harmony to my ears and tears to my eyes. Occasionally disappointed that certain scenes were missed out, but I have to learn to accept that films are a stand alone adaptation of a text, and not the whole book transferred onto a screen.
