I walked into this movie thinking I was about to see a two and a half hour MURICAH!!!!, ultra patriotic circle jerk about how the United States army is undoubtedly the best and any army it fights might as well give up before the start. One of the best feelings when watching movies you expect to hate is when you are proven that you are an absolute idiot for ever doubting it in the fist place. I got enjoy this feeling for this piece. This film feels as real as The Hurt Locker. More than once it feels like it blurs the line between a movie and actual documented footage. This film makes you feel extremely uncomfortable and it should. This isn't some My Little Pony Saves Santa super kid friendly happy fun time. This is how one of the biggest threats in American history was taken down. If you can stomach some blood and torture scenes, this film can give you a rough idea at how it all happened.
