Handsomely gothic, fast paced and beautifully acted, genre master Terence Fisher's old-fashioned chiller is a real classic of horror cinema.

I thought it would be quite a good film at first but I couldn't be more wrong. It was a load of drivel packed into 80 minutes, well that's what I thought but you might think differently. A dipicable crime was commited by ... and that's where the journey began. Sherlock Holmes went on a mission to find out who commited the crime but it is a lot more complicated than it sounds. Half way through I just got lost and I didn't know what was going on or who was who. If i was you i wouldnt watch it but this is just my oppinion. I would recommend this film for 8 and under but even I didn't understand it and I'm older than eight but that could just be because this is not my type of film. Over all I would rate this film ** and 2\10 .
