Children of Men was one of those films where it took almost half an hour to get into. I gradually grew to know the characters and I did recognise a few of them, Julianne Moore of The Lost World : Jurassic Park, Charlie Hunnam of Sons of Anarchy and Michael Caine of The Dark Knight series. The movie did have it's epic moments as the law and the terrorists battled it out towards the end but I feel that the initial plot was too plain. I've seen a handful of movies aiming to show a similar narrative and the majority did better than this. That's why it deserves a 3 star rating.
