Hilarious fly on the wall mockumentary about four vampires sharing a house together in modern New Zealand. From the team that created the cult tv series 'Flight of the Conchords', Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi write, direct and star in this comedy horror. After watching the trailer I couldn't wait to see the film, however I was apprehensive that they had already shown the best scenes in the trailer. I couldn't have been more wrong. While the film has been criticized for its lack of plot, I found the story brilliant and it never got boring - in fact I've already watched it again! While the vampire/werewolf thing is really overdone, What We Do in The Shadows is no twilight and takes a fresh comedic look on the genre. Horror Mockumentary can be difficult to get right, but with the combination of great music, humour and an extremely talented cast and directors for me the film has no faults. It was bleedin' fangtastic. *****
