This film is set in Nazi Germany, and there are people trying desperately to escape from the concentration camp. One of the main characters is Steve McQueen who is the one who has tried but failed to escape many times. There were others in the camp who didn't want anyone to escape because they might be blamed. They kept trying to escape but failed many times, then at last they managed to escape and that is the great escape.

i liked this film because of all the twists and turns, and there were lots of dramatic points that pulled me into the story line. it wasn't my favourite genre but i still liked the end part. Over all i quite enjoyed the film and i thing it has an amazing story line to it, though the ending was a little bit sad.

i would recommend this film to people who like war films and really exciting story lines. i would also recommend this film to people who like classics and old films.
