In this film we follow the story of Leonard, a young man who is trying to find his wife's killer, but is plagued by anterograde amnesia which means he is unable to make new memories. He leaves himself notes that he trusts completely in order to operate from day to day, going so far as to tattoo facts about the killer on to his body in an effort to speed up catching him.

In itself, the plot is original and would work as is; but what Nolan chooses to do, is to play the film effectively in reverse. This was a risk but it was so perfectly executed that it excels the film into my top 5.

Littered throughout the film is clues and Easter eggs that hint at the twist ending (or beginning, depending on how you look at it) which when you look back, make perfect sense.

I absolutely love this film. I think it is so clever and well directed that I can't help but be utterly amazed by it. Full 5 stars.
