Shutter island review

Shutter Island is a long, confusing tale about Teddy Daniels, (Leonardo DiCaprio) a U.S marshal sent to Shutter Island to investigate a mysterious disappearance of girl who seems to have disappeared through solid concrete.

But Teddy keeps getting flashbacks of a tragic event in the past, which keeps him and the viewer both confused and attached to watching the film.

Shutter Island uses wide angle shots to effectively intimidate the viewer and make it easier to empathize with what Teddy is going through.

I like how confused the film can make you feel - it really makes you have to wrap your head around it, to fully understand the plot, and benefits from a second viewing.
