Bette Midler leads the team of witches in an engaging and funny performance, all 3 witches have individual characters which you either love or hate but the acting of them all is very good. It's a great family movie for Halloween that stands the test of time, whilst it is no Harry Potter it tells a strong story of family and witchcraft. Having done Hocus Pocus with my drama group, I already knew the songs and it was really nice to see the in context within the movie. "I cast a spell on you" can't help but have you singing along.

The weather and set adds to the theme making it more realistic, the children in the story are familiar so you want them to succeed & the Cat is purrrrrrrrfect!!

Look out for the old fashioned computers they are giant but the book of spells was way ahead of its time.
