Swept up in the excitement of first love, Sam and Suzy decide to run away together in this sweet 1960s-set comedy.

Moonrise Kingdom

This was a compelling film about a small fictional island in 1965 America. A small boy runs off with a girl that he has only just met but he knows that he loves. It is directed in a different and strange style. The camera angles were very linear and felt like a play as it was very 2D. Sometimes the acting was wooden and quite strange and felt almost awkward at times. The story was very detailed and made the characters, although they were strange, quite likable. In addition the plot unravelled slowly and I could not predict what was going to happen next. It was very good but it is more of a hit or miss. Either you love the style or you hate it.
