Wow...just wow! I thought that Oliver! was hard to understand but oh no the makers of The Illusionist took confusing to a whole new level. Not that I want to undermine the film- it was great and the plot was terrific! It's a flashback flashback tale all most with lots of twists. It begins with the illusionist sat on a chair on a large stage. He's consontrating on a misty figure hovering next to him. You don't know what is going on, who he is or why he's here. Over the top a mans voice starts narrating; informing you that he arrested the illusionist and that he knew everything about him. Then the screen changes and you see a young boy; the illusionist as a child. The narrator stops and you go through a bit of his childhood and meet a young girl who falls in love. Then it changes to London but what happens next? I adored everything about this film from the costumes to the filming! I'm sure you would too. So... Watch it! I think that perhaps it isn't suitable for young children as it did have a few inappropriate scenes. By Emilie 11
