Rushmore (1998) Director: Wes Anderson Review The film Rushmore included several factors which appeal to the viewers. These factors include: friendship, love, comedy and also had some diversity between the school Max Fischer was previously at (private) and the school he went to next (public). The film was quite slow moving, but this allowed a lot of detail to be shown. The love factor starts of between Max and one of his teachers but that soon makes Max’s world turn upside down, as what is next to come will destroy him, and create an enemy in his friend. The father-son bonding in this story was very touchy, and showed that nothing can break love and trust between a family. The negative side of the storyline is that the emotion was quite far-fetched and unrealistic. Overall, I believe that this movie was quite good, and can appeal to a wide audience. I’d rate this film 4 stars out of 5, and would recommend it.
