Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) is just about to feel love for the first time when she's viciously murdered by her neighbour Mr. Harvey (Stanley Tucci), Mr. Harvey murders Susie and puts her remains in a safe in his basement. She then spends the rest of the film in a CGI Heaven where she watches her family cope. You could possibly imagine this is a fairly depressing film when you've got a young girl going on about how her life was cut short before she ever got her first kiss and her family is almost torn apart with grief it doesn't exactly make you feel happy about yourself. The movie is just one big rollercoaster with very tense moments but also with parts that are boring and others bits don’t make sense. This movie is kind of a mess and I don’t really know if the filmmakers knew what they wanted this movie to be.
