Continued from the short lived sci-fi show Firefly, Serenity tells the story of a group of criminals who are chased by the government and I feel that if I say any more it would ruin the movie for everyone. This wouldn't make much sense to anyone who hadn't seen Firefly so I would recommend watching the show first. Serenity is directed and written by Joss Whedon who knows how create create chemistry and comedy between characters and how to make each person unique and interesting, he also puts his stamp on the sci-fi genre adding things like reavers and the alliance. The visuals and sets are great and suck you right into this crime ridden, adventure, lived in world of Serentiy that you will miss when the credits begin to roll. I would definitely recommend this and Firefly because like I said the visuals, sets and characters are all top notch the only problems are that the film slows down a bit close to the middle but that's more of a nitpick overall this is a great sci-fi film that needs to be watched.
