The Miracle Worker The miracle worker is an old film which I didn’t enjoy much since it is quite slow paced. I give it a 3/5 star rating. This film is based on a true story of a girl that was born deaf and blind. She can’t talk and she has to get someone to teach her sign language. The teacher, Anne Sullivan (played by Anne Bancroft) is very strict and she finds it difficult to teach her. The girl’s condition maker her very frustrated and sometimes violent. This character, Helen Keller, became an author in real life and overcame her disability, and can now talk almost fluently. This biographical film was made in 1962, is 102 minutes long and is directed by Arthur Penn. Overall I didn’t like this black and white film very much and I would recommend it for those who enjoy a slower paced plot line and films from that era.
