The wrestler shows a great view of a pro wrestler long past his prime but still rearing on making a name for himself on a small stage! The movie shows the lengths that "Randy "The Ram" Robinson" goes to for money and the sacrifices he has made in and outside of the ring not having a great family life with a Passed away wife and a daughter who does not like him. Spending most of his time wrestling, In his mobile home or in a strip club. Its not all bad for Randy and he stills has friends in the wrestling brotherhood and enjoys hanging out with Cassidy who we can see from the direction off the film he is starting to grow feelings for. The relationship gets complicated as he is only know to "Cassidy" as another customer and having a son on top of this makes it even more complicated but we can see her growing to Randy but I wont spoil anything. Randy is also a Drug user relying on steroids to get his physical shape and getting his tan from sun machines. Randy then suffers from a big change in his life that makes him rethink what he is doing and the general direction he is going in and he starts to pick his life up getting a job and trying to make a brand new start with his daughter. At the end of the movie I felt a whole range of emotions and just loved the movie when I watched it backed when I got home. Director Darren Aronofsky did an amazing job respecting the art of wrestling and the people who take part also expecting the viewers to as well He makes the movie realistic and makes the sports seem just like it would be in real life. Story direction, characters and plot was all really really good and I loved how the movie ending living me questions and thinking about even throughout the day like any amazing film does. I recommend this film to anyone who has an interested in wrestling or just wants to watch a really good story driven movie the film is done in such a amazing way it is hard to not recommend or write anything bad about I would just warn anyone that the age limit is a bit low with some material in the film being pretty rough and it shows a few nudity scenes. All in all the movie was amazingly directing with a great story and amazing characters. A MUST SEE!
