Skellig ? What does that make you think of? To me it makes me think of depressing, dark and mysterious yet magical and heart – warming. Skellig the movie is a great family movie, that hooks you and keeps you watching. It shows that nothing is perfect. The film Skellig is about family of 3 and when the mum is expecting they move to a dark and run down home. When they get there, there is an unexpected magical surprise a waiting. The film shows family fall outs and friendship loss and being gained .

The great camera angels in the movie show darkness and depth even mystery and magic. The film could have been lighter as in place it was hard to see. The music gave it that little more enthuses.

Over all I would say it was a four star rating as it was a great film that hooked me and kept me watching it was a truly touching film that was fantasy yet quite real .
