Kidulthood Review Introduction: The Film had is positives and negatives, however, unfortunately I felt like the film had more negatives than positives. The film built up a tension and then towards the end it was predictable and you knew what was going to happen. The Film was directed by Menhaj Huda, written by Noel Clarke and was produced in 2006 and is 89 minutes. The plot line is about about the life of several teenagers (who are around 15) in Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road which is area of inner west London and is set in 2002. The Main character is called Trevor but in the film he is known as 'Trife' in the film and it mainly follows him and the problems he faces. The Film: Firstly, kidulthood is a predictable but it does have is moments which are funny and good. However, the film seems to unfortunately get more repetitive and boring with the same conversions going on through the film about the same problems. Furthermore, is predictable at the end of the film you know what is about to happen to everyone and how people which react to it. In my opinion the film needed more than a climax than anything, something to end big on and more satisfying, however, the film failed that. Even though the film did build up a climax and tension the ending was upsetting and annoying to watch as knew it was going to happen. However, the film had funny moments which were fun to watch and sometimes that maybe you could relate to maybe. The acting between the actors is excellent and how they react to each other in different situations, however, the ending again was predictable. Conclusion: The film had good moments which made the film funny and fun to watch at times, however, it failed to reach the climax and produced a good ending. It was upsetting to see a film which had good pensional but failed towards the end of film and parts of the middle as well.
