Dark, unique portrait of Glasgow in the 1970s, about a boy who blames himself after his friend drowns in a canal.

I thought this movie is alright. It was quite a depressing movie because the main character feeling guilt after killing someone, what makes it more depressing is where he's living. A neighbourhood where there is garbage in your backyard. It's sad because he doesn't get a happy ending, at least he's at peace at the newly built housing estate by a field. I like how this movie made me think, it makes me think, what's the main character is going to do next, what's he thinking, I wasn't expecting him to kill himself.
