Classic spine-chilling frightener about a small girl terrorised by a ghost which invades her family's suburban home via the television set.

The thing I liked about the Poltergeist was the story and the way you could understand what was going on. I disliked the special fx but it was probably because it was a older and nowadays we can do much more.

The most memorable part for me was the scene when the tree grabbed the son viciously, then it tried to eat him. It's memorable to me because now when I think back to the movie that's the first thing that pops to mind.

From the opening it seemed like it would be a pretty calm movie, but it had lots of jumpscares and stuff like ghosts, skeletons and a giant thing that came out of the closet.

The only movie I watched kinda close to it was Paranormal Activity,it had the same concept of a house getting possessed but it had a different mood to it than the Poltergeist.

If I had to change anything I would make it clearer that their house was made on top of an old cemetery.

I wouldn't mind watching it again because I like the horror genre.

I would recommend it to most people especially teens or aldults who like classic movies.
