One of the greatest children's films of all time, this much-loved (mostly dialogue-free) French movie is about a young boy and his toy...

Eventhough the film is in French, it has an amazing story about a boy with his red balloon. The film is old (it's 60 years old this year!!) but it doesn't matter that its old, it's a good film. The director Albert Lamorisse chose an amazing cast of these people:

-Pascal Lamorisse

-Vladimir Popov

-Georges Sellier

-Paul Perey

-Rene Marion

I have to admit, it was a bit confusing but luckily the English subtitles at the bottom of the film helped me and my school so much in knowing what was happening to him and what the cast said. It does get people to be quiet about watching a film so they could hear what was happening. If you need a quick and easy film to watch, I recommend this; its only 30 minutes. I give this film a four out of five because it did confuse me and my friends from the French language and we are English so it didn't work out that well. Amazing directing and good quality work. Well done Albert Lamorisse for giving us this film. Thank you film club for giving us the film to watch. :)
