It was an average performance with some gory scenes. I felt that the special effects were some what lacking in CGI animation. But overall the plot line was good with mystery and mayhem. I would recommend it to some people it just depends what genre people would generally go for. I would describe this film as a thrilling horror/comedy. I would be interested in watching Hellboy 2 to see how they continue with this story. The suspense and action which builds up as the film continues makes it especially exciting as you don't really know what is about to happen. I didn't expect what happened at the end. I was staring in disbelieve. It was a reaI twist therefore I believe that only Ron Perlman could play Hellboy. He portrays him rather well. To conclude I feel that this film is very well thought out and I could really understand the planning, time and effort that has been put into it and it was worth it. I would watch it again if I was given a choice to.
