The Pianist was shot in Poland. The story tells us about a Polish Jew that went through the Holocaust and lost his entire family and had to hide. The camera work was one of the thing roman Polanski done thats why he won the Oscar and best director because of how good it was. Wladyslaw Szpilman was a famous polish jew. He was a Pianist and in the holocaust his life was hard because he had to hide otherwise he would of been killed if the Germans caught him. His family was sent to the concentration camp which means they would end up dead so he lived his life alone. Szpilman is played in the film by Adrien Brody, who is more gaunt and resourceless but he was talented at playing the piano. The genre was historic and based on a true story. I recommend this film.
