This film was a very nice demonstration about letting go of the past (family)and introducing the future. It also displayed how letting go of family is not as easy as it looks. The film was about how she (the girl) risked her life to save her step sibling.
The things that really impressed me in this film was the part when she said goodbye to the friends she made in the labyrinth. I also liked when she tried to get back her step sibling in a battle between her and the goblin king. I liked this part because it is when she realises that she controls the Labyrinth and it is not the Labyrinth that holds the power over her future.
I wasn't impressed with the music score for the film. I am not a fan of music in films unless it adds atmosphere. Random song and dance parts annoy me a lot.
To conclude this review I think this film was a good mix between real life and puppets. It had a deeper meaning too which was appropriate for us as Year 6 pupils as we all will have to let go of our primary schools and move on to the Labyrinth of Secondary in a few months.
This Film gets 4 stars from me!
