It's never hard to guess what will happen next in The Karate Kid - but it's still a martial arts film packed with energy and humour.

The film is basically about a boy who arrives in California and gets beaten by karate-trained high school bullies who most of the time, beat him and give him a black eye and hurt him. But that is when funny, weird ,(sort of)mental Mr Miyagi comes to the rescue. He teaches Daniel how to do karate for defence, not for brutality like his enemies did. What I like about this film is the humorous, strange and witty characteristics that he gives Mr Miyagi and the persevering characteristic for Daniel. I also like the scenery. There is absolutely no bits I hate. I would highly recommend this nice film. This is why I rate this film 5*.
