a metric ton of fun, with some hilarious moments and a game of thrones discussion that I couldn't help but laugh at.
Riley Keough, Adam Driver, Daniel Craig and newcomer Farrah Mackenzie are all fantastic, and give Soderbergh's film a pure driving force (non intentional pun).
granted, there are some issues within the screenplay and the story as it progressed got a tad convoluted and toward the end I was left rather confused, but luckily it was patched up by the time the credits rolled.
as much of a great actor that he is, Channing Tatum wasn't all that fantastic, and that could be down to the characterisation or the overall performance. I thought he was miscast and that Adam Driver tried really hard to create chemistry to bounce off each other but Tatum's character of Jimmy was very much his own character throughout and felt separate to the main plot. Just an opinion.
eitherway, Logan Lucky is a ton of fun, the jokes were all spot on and with it, it also carried a lot of heart and some fantastic performances were on display.
but now, three films (Free-Fire, Alien: Covenant and now LL) have included John Denver as an important part of their plot, coincidence or just plain weird?
