'Only Yesterday' is a heartwarming Japanese anime about the main character, Taeko, going from her job in Tokyo, to her passion of farming in the countryside.

As she travels and arrives in the countryside, she reminisces about her childhood, friendships and relationships being kind and honest. This has shaped her to be the way she is today as she learnt very important life lessons which will make her happy in future.

Personally, I enjoyed the film overall, considering the anime genre isn't my go-to film to watch. The style of anime mixed with the warm, bright tones, brought this piece to life. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't usually keen on Japanese anime as this will change their opinions.
