ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN is an unbelievable film about, you guessed, two bell-boys (American porters) whose names are Chick and Wilbur meeting Frankenstein and, bet you didn’t guess this, Dracula. They do not intend to do this, we think. But how can we be sure of this???
This all starts when they receive orders to take two “fragile exhibits” of Dracula and Frankenstein. Through an unfortunate series of events, Wilbur manages to discover that they are both definitely fake. Right? WRONG!!!
My favourite character is Wilbur, since he is so comedic. Without him, the film would not be the same mixture of comedy, horror, fantasy, and science fiction. For example, he sees his candle move when Dracula lifts the lid of his coffin. He yells “CHICK!!!!” desperately. This is repeated until Wilbur eventually goes hoarse! (He’ll NEIGHver stop being such a scaredy cat!) Frankenstein, however, does not yield so much pleasure…
I would recommend this to people aged 7-100,000,000, it’s that good! Whole families would enjoy it, I believe, as it is acted so nicely and you can understand it with almost no effort! It is unbelievable. It really is!
